Falling Waters, West Virginia AA Meetings

Falling Waters is a census-designated place (CDP) in Berkeley County, West Virginia, north of Martinsburg. Our online directory of AA meetings in Falling Waters may help if you are searching for a local addiction recovery program. Our West Virginia Alcoholics Anonymous meeting directory includes meetings such as AA, Alateen, and Al-Anon meetings.

Alateen is considered an Al-Anon specialty group for those aged 19 or younger who have been adversely affected by someone’s drinking. Teens and younger kids who have a parent, sibling, grandparent, or someone else with alcohol addiction are welcome to participate in Alateen. Alcohol addiction is a family disease; this means that it adversely affects each member of the family. When family members, such as spouses or teenagers, get involved in their own recovery program, it’s known to help the recovering person maintain long-term sobriety. Alateen provides a safe place for teenagers and younger kids to meet others living with the family illness of alcohol addiction. Just like AA and Al-Anon, Alateen is a 12-Step recovery program. Kids can share their experiences, learn about alcohol addiction and recovery, adopt a feeling of higher self-esteem, integrate a positive attitude change instead of reacting negatively to situations, and find the courage to take steps toward their own recovery process.
