Seattle, Washington AA Meetings

A portion of Seattle’s large population has a dependency on alcohol. To offer help to them, the largest city in the state of Washington and 15th largest in the entire United States, has established Alcoholics Anonymous meeting locations. Alcoholics Anonymous or AA is the longest-running alcohol recovery support organization on the planet. AA is governed by its famous 12-Steps and 12-Traditions principles which are both explained in detail in the organization’s governing literature – ‘The Big Book.’ People attending AA meetings are guided by ‘The Big Book,’ which is considered the organization’s bible. The guide is a tremendous supply of inspiration and motivation which may be of enormous benefit to those needing help with alcohol addiction. AA meetings are completely free to attend. It does not have any conditions for attendance outside of the will to stop drinking. It is also non-discriminatory, non-political, and non-religious. Its ‘open meetings’ accept friends and family members of people with a substance use disorder. These are usually supporters of participants who are helping them through their recovery.
