AA Port O’Connor is just a small part of AA Texas which is a fellowship that is here with the explicit goal of helping alcoholics with their personal recovery and their continued sobriety. Alcohol is a very hard substance to quit but the fellowship along with the individuals in the AA groups have created a method that can help them manage if not completely halt their intake. In the fellowship there are Senior members that sponsor the newer members with the goal of helping them through the hard times. Because of this and the infamous 12-step program, Thousands of people have been able to come out the other side as better people. At AA Texas everybody is striving to get to the same goal and they all try to help each other out because everybody knows that a strong support system is the best way to get you to your goal.
