Macungie is the second oldest borough in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. This city has a high number of cases involving alcohol addiction. If alcohol addiction is not controlled early, it becomes a serious issue that does not affect only individuals but society. People are usually ignorant of alcohol addiction when it starts because the symptoms are not disturbing. However, when it gets intense, the symptoms can be mentally and physically distressing. Many people in the U.S. suffer from alcohol use disorder and they are scattered across different parts of the nation. To provide every alcohol addiction sufferer with a chance to recover, the AA community, a community that was created to help individuals to overcome an alcohol addiction, has extended its AA meetings to most parts of the nation and that includes AA meetings in Macungie. There are different types of AA meetings. While the closed AA meeting is only for members of the AA community, friends and family of the alcohol addiction sufferer could join them in open AA meetings. This would serve as a support system. There are other types of AA meetings like the Women’s only, men’s only, virtual, LGBTQ. We have made a list of Alcoholics Anonymous Pennsylvania meetings on our site.
