Gates, Oregon AA Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship that has existed for a long time and has been a source of support for many individuals that are suffering from Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). It is a voluntary, self-supporting community that is not affiliated with any other organization in any part of the world. But, it interacts with other institutions like hospitals and rehabilitation centers to provide its support to patients. The doors of AA Oregon are open to anyone regardless of condition severity and other personal matters. All that is required from a person wanting to be involved in this fellowship is the desire to stop the consumption of alcohol. The road to recovery starts with a patient believing and admitting that there is nothing they can do on their own to stop themselves from using alcohol and require spiritual help and guidance. This leads to the patients living out the remaining steps of “The Big Book” with the help of other members, especially their sponsors. Sponsors are members that are experienced in knowing and executing the twelve steps in their lives. AA meetings in Gates are places where a member can go to speak about their problems and receive help with the anonymity of their identity and what they share respected.
