Inwood, a neighborhood in Manhattan, is home to a few people who suffer from alcohol use disorder. In almost every part of the nation, alcohol dependence, the consumption of alcohol even when there are negative effects, has become a big issue. For diverse purposes, people drink. Usually, individuals have full control over when they drink and the amount they consume for the first couple of times. It is easy to lose control, though, making it hard to cut back on alcohol consumption. If you are experiencing this, you could get some results from joining an AA meeting around you. Members of the Alcoholics Anonymous community attend AA meetings. The meetings offer a friendly and warm atmosphere in which everyone is free to discuss what they are encountering and what they have done to handle the situation. NY AA meetings use a 12-step approach to help individuals achieve effective recovery. Finding the nearest AA meetings used to be hard, but we have organized a list of all AA meetings in Inwood. The only membership requirement for joining these meetings is the desire to stay sober. Different formats of NY AA meetings exist. The meeting could be virtual, open, close, just for men, only for women, LGBTQ, etc.
