Carmel Hamlet is a hamlet that is located in the town of Carmel in Putnam County, New York. It is the site of the historic County Court House, which was built in 1814. Residents of the hamlet who are dealing with some sort of drinking problem, makes up a tiny fraction of the estimated 15 million adults who are addicted to alcohol in the United States.
