Amagansett, New York AA Meetings

Amagansett is a census-designated place in New York State that was established in 1680. This region has an increasing number of inhabitants who desire to quit problem drinking or alcoholism yearly. Fortunately, Alcoholics Anonymous has swiftly organized Amagansett AA meetings to provide for the needs of individuals with alcohol dependence. Nowadays, these meetings are part of a larger framework of NY AA meetings which are held all over the state. Since this program’s inception in 1935, they have helped many individuals to successfully quit problem drinking and alcoholism. Amagansett AA meetings are essentially peer support systems that seek to address the needs of members with alcohol use disorders through counseling and by encouraging them to desist from alcohol intake. They help their members to overcome alcohol withdrawal symptoms by providing support and motivation. Most importantly, members of Amagansett AA meetings benefit from the shared experiences of their mentors. Options available in these meetings are similar to those of other NY AA meetings and include open meetings, closed meetings, gender-specific meetings, discussion meetings, speaker meetings and workshops. They also provide virtual meetings for members, who due to one reason or the other, cannot be physically present at meetings. Recovery progress is monitored to prevent relapse.
