Ord, Nebraska AA meetings
Named in honor of Civil War general Edward O. C. Ord, Ord is a city in Valley County, Nebraska. Despite not having the largest population, there are AA meetings in Ord to support those in the community who have alcohol use disorder (AUD). Millions of people are suffering the effects of AUD, from damaging their professional careers, personal and professional relationships, to losing their reputations and even wealth. Alcoholics Anonymous, or AA, is one of the longest-standing forms of methods that people use to try to stop using alcohol and get on the road to recovery. The group support organization has tools that help to uncover any given individual’s root causes of AUD and inspires people to stop using alcohol and regain control of their lives. People who have suffered heavily at the hands of alcohol use disorder can gain inspiration from AA literature, which highlights stories of past members who were on the brink of “hitting rock bottom” before AA. One section of The Big Book provides several accounts from AA members who suffered from alcohol use disorder at “its miserable worst.” If you are a resident, or just happen to be in the area, you can find listings of AA meetings in Ord in this directory.
