Rogers, Minnesota AA Meetings

Rogers is a suburb located northwest of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/Saint Paul), Minnesota, area in Hennepin County. As with most cities in the U.S., Rogers is home to its fair share of people struggling with alcohol addiction. Those who live in the local area who are struggling with substance use disorder may be interested in finding AA meetings in Rogers. If you have never attended an AA Minnesota meeting in the past, you may be asking yourself, “what is the AA recovery program?” The program is based on the 12-Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), written in the “Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous” in 1939. The steps are considered a set of spiritual principles that, if followed, will bring about living a sober life of honesty, hope and courage. Newcomers are instantly required to adopt the 12-Steps into their belief system if they have a hesitation about the willingness to do so. Instead, the program asks that new members keep an open mind and “keep coming back.” Reading AA literature, listening to other AA members tell their stories of recovery, and regularly going to meetings is an expectation of most AA groups. Of course, newcomers must also have a desire to quit using alcohol as well.
