Cadiz, Kentucky AA Meetings

Cadiz is a home rule-class city in the county seat of Trigg County, Kentucky. Some residents in the city are struggling to regulate their drinking, which has resulted in them establishing the medical condition called alcohol use disorder. The negative consequences of alcohol use disorder, or AUD, can be life-altering. Several treatments such as medications, detoxification, as well as behavioral therapies are used to treat AUD. But some people who are struggling with AUD experience psychological problems that prevent them from quitting alcohol. So group support therapy may be required for a complete recovery. Group support therapies such as ‘Twelve Steps’ programs offer crucial peer support that has proven to be very effective compared to other forms of alcohol addiction treatments. Alcoholics Anonymous, or AA, was designed to help people with AUD to not just stop consuming alcohol altogether, but to also attain long-term soberness. Through its popular ‘Twelve Steps’ program, AA teaches its participants how to abstain from alcohol completely by holding themselves accountable for their addiction and also to take full responsibility for their own healing. AA meetings are gatherings of people with an alcohol dependency in one location for a minimum of an hour. Information for AA meetings in Cadiz and other AA meetings in Kentucky is available on alcoholicsanonymous.com.
