Types of AA Meetings

Closed: Closed AA meetings in Vermont are only available for members of AA and individuals with alcoholism who are ready to find help. Leaders facilitate the discussions, which incorporate themes related to addiction, recovery, and hope for the future.

Men: Select AA chapters have designed 12 Step Programs that focus on men’s alcohol use disorder. In Vermont, men of all ages can participate in these meetings at no charge.

Speaker: AA members in Vermont often hear motivational speakers to strengthen their resilience against alcoholism. These Speakers are usually AA alumni and use a mixture of reason, faith, humor, emotional appeal, and personal charm to connect with audiences.
