Description: Southside women is an open AA meeting welcoming anyone who identifies as a woman or nonbinary. Each week we read AA grapevine excerpts pertaining to emotional sobriety. After the reading the meeting is open for sharing. The meeting is outside behind the Coquina Key dog park. Bring your own chair/blanket.

Types of AA Meetings
Discussion: AA discussion meetings in Florida are based around one topic designed to spur group conversation. The leader will normally choose the topic from an AA text, such as Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions. Once they share a brief reflection, others can participate and add their input.
Literature: Literature-focused AA meetings in Florida are community support meetings for people affected by alcohol addiction. These sessions offer peer support within a 12-step program based on AA literature, including AA workbooks, the Big Book of AA, and other writings by AA founders and leaders.
Meditation: Meditation AA meetings feature physical and emotional calmness as a main method of healing. The meetings open with 15 minutes of private mediation and close with an additional 5 minutes of meditation.
Women: Women’s AA meetings in Florida are group peer support meetings for women who are affected by alcohol addiction. These meetings use a 12-step recovery curriculum and are open to all women free of charge, including women who are addicted to alcohol and women who have loved ones with alcohol addiction.
