12 Steps & 12 Traditions: Oregon's AA embraces the 12 Steps and Traditions and provides a lifeline of support for individuals on their journey to sobriety. Meetings flexible, peer led, and offer a safe space for individuals and their loved ones to find the support they need.

Discussion: In Oregon, AA discussion meetings center on one specific subject associated with alcohol addiction and recovery. These subjects often derive from an AA text, such as the Big Book. Leaders will open by sharing the topic and giving their insights, and then others can join the conversation.

Literature: Oregon literature-led AA meetings are support group meetings for people who are affected by alcohol addiction, including those suffering from alcoholism and those who have loved ones addicted to alcohol. These no-cost community meetings are based on the Big Book of AA and other AA literature as part of a 12-step addiction recovery program.

Open: In Oregon, open AA meetings are available to anyone in the community. They are not restricted to members only, instead allowing all interested parties to attend and learn more about how AA works, what the 12 step model of recovery includes, and how they can support their friends or loved ones battling alcohol addiction.

Wheelchair Access: Oregon AA centers can include wheelchair access for non-ambulatory clients, which can include designated parking and exterior ramps. Interior features can include open floor spaces to access meeting halls, restrooms, and amenities.
