If you are new to the Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) program, you may want to consider getting an AA sponsor. What is a sponsor, and how does one go about getting one? An AA sponsor is like a mentor. AA sponsorship involves someone who has experience working the 12-Steps of AA (and some time in sobriety) who assists newcomers in applying the Steps to their day-to-day life.
