Blanchard, Idaho AA Meetings

Blanchard is an unincorporated community in Bonner County, Idaho. Despite a population of only a couple hundred residents, the census-designated place has several of its residents who are dependent on alcohol. Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting locations have been set up inside the community to offer assistance to locals who have a desire to quit drinking. Information for AA meetings in Blanchard and other AA meetings in Idaho are listed on alcoholicsanonymous.com. There is no charge for attending an AA meeting. However, because AA is self-supporting, a collection is usually taken after each meeting to cover operational costs such as the renting of buildings. Only AA members can contribute and there is no obligation, so if you feel like contributing you can. At AA meetings, participants share their addiction stories and weigh in discussions surrounding alcohol addiction. You may be invited to speak, but no one is obligated to. So if you are not in the mood to talk, or speaking to an audience of unfamiliar people is not your thing, you do not have to. Despite AA encouraging its members to strive for a spiritual connection with a higher power, it is not a religious organization. Some AA meetings are kept in church buildings only because of their convenience and affordability. AA groups are not affiliated with any religious organization.
