Sloan, New York AA Meetings

Do you think you might be affected by Alcohol Use Disorder(AUD)? Alcohol Use Disorder is a brain disorder that is characterized by a person’s excessive drinking that leads to loss of control of their alcohol consumption. AUD has different stages starting from mild to moderate and finally severe. These stages are based on the number of symptoms of AUD the person exhibits. A mild AUD is when a person shows two or three symptoms. Moderate AUD is when the person shows four or five symptoms. And a severe Alcohol Use disorder is when the person exhibits more than six symptoms of AUD. This disorder can happen to anyone, regardless of their religion, race, gender, or their mental state. However, there are a few factors that make a person more vulnerable to AUD. Some of these factors are dealing with a mental health problem like depression, having a family history of alcohol abuse, or past trauma. People who are at risk of or are already dealing with AUD are recommended to attend AA meetings in Sloan to help control it before it gets worse. There are several NY AA meetings held all across the state and they might have different approaches but use a simple and common approach and that is working hard to help the individual stay sober.
