Types of AA Meetings

Meditation: Meditation AA meetings feature physical and emotional calmness as a main method of healing. The meetings open with 15 minutes of private mediation and close with an additional 5 minutes of meditation.

Open: In Wisconsin, open AA meetings are available to everyone in the community. Any person interested in understanding more about AA and the 12 step recovery model is welcome to attend. During the meeting, members may share personal stories and experiences, allowing observers to listen and learn.

Step Meeting: Wisconsin AA centers often feature step meetings within their programs. Members discuss AA literature and their own experiences before strategizing on how to make their recovery stronger throughout the 12 Step program.
