Berks County, Pennsylvania AA Meetings

Within its combination of farm valley country and the beautiful mountain heights of Appalachia, Berks County, Pennsylvania, is home to successful industrial and educational establishments. This densely populated part of the state experiences its share of folks who struggle to overcome alcohol use disorder (AUD), a chronic medical condition known by its hallmark symptoms of the inability to stop or control drinking and the distress it causes in relationships. If you experience AUD, look for AA meetings, Berks County in our online directory. Alcoholics Anonymous has been the leader group support for AUD recovery since 1935. With an array of meetings, including those for beginners, men’s and women’s only meetings, LGBT meetings, and more, you will find the meeting to join that will support you on your healing journey. Using the 12 Steps of AA, members steadily work to apply its self-improvement principles with the support of others who have successfully learned to live free of alcohol use. A portion of time in meetings is devoted to open sharing where people can share their recovery stories. While sharing is not mandatory, it plays an integral part in healing, and all members are welcome to participate when they are comfortable. AA Pennsylvania groups warmly welcome all who choose to attend. Sometimes AUD recovery is enhanced by participation in a formal rehab program in addition to meeting attendance. To learn more about what programs are available to you, call our helpline and speak to a specialist who can guide you to the appropriate information.
